Every year, Echo Park (plus the local Asian and Pacific Islander communities) hosts a festival dedicated to these wonderful blooms as well different cultures of Asia and the Pacific Islands. Swing by on July 14th or 15th for some entertainment, a delectable variety of food, and dragon boat racing!
Feelin’ thrifty? You can help out so many local artists and sellers by stopping by the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena! Whether you’re on the hunt for some cool graphic tees to add to your summer wardrobe or even some vintage furniture for your living space, you can come across some cool finds here at the Rose Bowl. However, make sure you plan ahead – this shindig only takes place on the second Sunday of every month.
So you have a bit of an adventurous side – we dig it! Head on over to Torrance and try go kart racing with your favorite people. There’s no harm in bringing out some of your competitive spirit at times, after all!
Jazz Nights at LACMA
You may know LACMA from their famous and ever-so-bright lamp installation, but did you know they also host jazz nights throughout the summer months? You can spend your afternoon looking at wonderful works of both contemporary and historic art before winding down with some peaceful jazz outdoors! Check out there calendar of music events here.
