This Galentine’s Day is all about getting active with your girls, and we’ve got you covered with a craft that makes a statement – literally. Fresh, feminine and eye-catching, these DIY floral protest signs are sure to turn a few heads. Best of all they’re fun to make and let your girls express themselves at local Women’s Marches and community events.
If these DIY floral protest signs are speaking your language, here’s a look at how to do it 👇
- Poster board
- Glue gun
- Your favorite flowers
- Cut your flowers down to the buds and discard the stems. Try to get as close to the bud as possible because this is the part of the flower that’s going to adhere to your poster board and you want the blooms to be flush to the board.
- Arrange your flowers in the shape of your choosing. This is a great time to be creative and make your own shape or embellish an existing design. A Venus symbol or peace sign are popular options, but we went with a red rose heart so we can show our love.
- Once all of the flowers are in place, it’s time to start gluing them down. A small dollop of glue on the base of your bloom should be enough to hold it in place.
- Allow the flowers to dry for a few minutes before you attempt to pick up the board. Now it’s time to march!
We made our heart sign on white poster board for simplicity, but you can also print out designs and use them as the basis for your poster, and then you can glue flowers on top of them!
