Fall is here, and we’re excited to gather around the table in celebration of the changing season. There’s something beautiful about celebrating autumn –– rooted in harvest traditions, we love the sentiment of spending intentional time with friends and family around the food that patient farmers have grown all summer long. As we come together with our Bouqs Family this fall, we’re embracing the spirit of harvest by incorporating autumn colors, foods, and natural elements into our seasonal tablescape.
In a grand gesture of autumn embrace, we’ve worked with our friend and Chief Floral Designer, Eric Buterbaugh, to create a few tips for your next fall gathering that will help take celebration of the season to the next level.
Tip 1: Go with Jewel Tones for Fall
As the season changes, so do the colors around us. Our landscape becomes a warm array of tones that spill into one another, softening our moods and helping us revel in some good old-fashioned nostalgia and joy.
Carrying this new color palette into home accents like throw pillows, blankets, and flowers is a great way to make small tweaks to your space that roll out the red carpet for fall. When creating an autumn-ready harvest table, jewel-toned flowers add a splash of color and warmth. Our new fall Bouq collection is filled with floral varieties and colors befit for the season.
Tip 2: Decorate with Foods of Harvest
Eric notes that incorporating in-season fruits and veggies like viburnum berries, pomegranates, artichokes, squash, and mini pumpkins can create the ultimate autumn table runner. Using foods associated with fall will make your table come alive, and it adds an extra element of celebration. Try it at your next dinner party and see how easily it helps enhance the mood!
Tip 3: Bring the Outdoors In
Peppering your tabletop with fall foliage is another great way to embrace the spirit of the season in your autumn tablescape. Whether you’re having an outdoor gathering in the crisp autumn air or taking the party inside this time, fall-friendly elements like colorful maple leaves and pine cones make for great accents as you dress up your table and invite friends over for the dinner party of the season (or the century)!
As always, we love seeing how you take these tips and make them your own. Show off your fall tablescapes and dinner party memories by using #Bouqlove and tagging us @TheBouqsCo in your posts. Happy decorating!
