In 2014, our founder and CEO, John Tabis pitched The Bouqs Company’s farm-to-table flowers to the “sharks” on ABC’s Shark Tank, at the time the sharks didn’t bite.
Three years later, Robert Herjavec, was shopping for wedding flowers and shocked by the price. He remembered The Bouqs Company and reached out for help.
“[Tabis] said, ‘Come and see me. I’ll explain the flower business to you.’ [He] draws it out for me, shows me what they’re doing. I’m like, ‘I love it,’” Herjavec said. “So I took part of their last round. We just raised $24 million.”
In addition to becoming an investor, Herjavec loved his wedding flowers, “And most importantly, I saved a ton of money on my flowers for my wedding,” said Herjavec.
To celebrate $100 million in deals made on the show, ABC’s 20/20 is featuring the Shark Tank cast on Friday night’s episode at 10/9c.
Spoiler alert: Best part of the episode is shark Mark Cuban expressing his regret for not doing a deal with The Bouqs Company after seeing our growth over the past few years.
“That’s the one I regret not doing, ‘cause that’s a deal I would’ve loved,” said Cuban.
