How did he propose?At 6:00am on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, Ron snuck into my apartment and woke me up handing me a card that read: “Here’s the first clue I need to deliver: you’ll have to get walking down close to the river!” Not knowing what to expect I got up, got dressed, threw on some makeup and quick-curled my hair before we headed downtown to the Tampa Riverwalk. On the way, Ron said we had a little time so we stopped at one of our favorite coffee shops downtown. Still not really sure what he had up his sleeve we kept walking until we reached the Riverwalk. We looked out over the river just talking and enjoying the quiet, early morning until Ron said it was time for my next clue. He led me to what seemed like a very specific spot, turned me around and handed me the second clue.
On his cue I start to read: “Clue two is important for to me you’ll be bound. If you want a small hint, just turn around!” And there he was, on one knee, asking me to spend the rest of my life with him! The next few minutes were a flurry of hugs, kisses, gawking at my gorgeous new bling, and then he pointed a few yards away. After a few seconds I realized it my photographer sister all the way from Virginia had captured the whole thing! Then I see my youngest sister and mom running towards me and I just stopped and starting bawling the happiest of tears.
What was the most memorable moment at your wedding?
When I look back on our wedding day, one of my favorite memories is sitting at our sweetheart table covered in a beautiful eucalyptus garland enjoying our first meal together as husband and wife. Surrounded by our friends and family we were overwhelmed and felt incredibly blessed and grateful. The whole day was absolutely perfect, but this time together was extra special.

Since all of my bridesmaids (besides my sisters) live in different cities and states, my mom, sisters and I assembled all the centerpieces and bouquets with the help of a talented family friend! The flowers were absolutely beautiful and made the whole house smell amazing!

What advice do you have for other Bouq Brides?
Doing your own wedding flowers does not have to be stressful or expensive! Just make sure you have the right supplies (plenty of buckets, a flower stem stripper, floral tape, etc…) and several hours to devote to the assembly! The beautiful thing about flowers is that even if you’ve never put a bouquet together in your life, they’re flowers so they’re going to look gorgeous! Let yourself have fun; you’ve made it this far and you’re only days from your wedding, so just enjoy those precious moments with family and friends and take in the sweet floral scents!
