🎉 Fourth of July is almost here, which means it’s time to start planning your party! We’re huge fans of any occasion that takes place outside during the summer, especially when we’re surrounded by friends, family, and food, too. To make the celebrations even more festive for your guests, hand out a few of these DIY Floral Party Poppers for their enjoyment!
These party poppers are simple to make, and it’s a great opportunity to show off your creativity. We’ll show you how we made ours, but the real fun comes when you create your own designs!
Here’s what you need:
- Plastic Push Pops
- Scissors
- Clear Tape
- Construction Paper
- Washi Tape
- Streamer Paper
- Flower Petals
Step 1: Want to make a frilled skirt for your popper? Start by cutting slits in your streamer paper.
Step 2: Wrap the frilled paper around the base of the popper and secure with clear tape.
Step 3: Continue to decorate the popper with washi tape, construction paper, or any additional items you have on hand, like ribbon!
Step 4: Make a rocket-shaped top for the cap by tracing a circle in your construction paper. Cut out the circle, and fold it inward around itself so it forms a conical tip. Tape along the seam to secure, and adhere to the cap with another small piece of folded tape.
Step 5: Once your popper is fully decorated, fill it with flower petals.
Step 6: Now it’s time to flowerbomb your friends, or make them ‘explode’ along with the fireworks as they go off this Fourth of July. Have fun!
