Happy Galentine’s Day!
No matter when you’re reading this, everyday is Galentine’s Day when you have strong, supportive friends who cheer you on every day of the year. We wanted to bring that girl-powered energy into the real world so that women around Los Angeles could come together and celebrate their love for friendship and flowers. To make the night even more exciting, we centered our party around watching the latest episode of ‘The Bachelor’ and co-hosted the event with Ashley Iaconetti herself.
We made sure the get-together empowered women from all aspects, so we held the event at the new AllBright women’s coworking space on Melrose Ave. The space is not only beautiful, but it is also decorated by women designers, adorned with art created by women, and they also use spirits from women-run distilleries. You can find out more about AllBright’s mission here.
The flowers were all arranged and designed by our in-house florist Kaylyn Hewitt, who was assisted by Katelyn Sandy of Urban Flora. They designed a stunning, three-dimensional flower wall for attendees to take photos in front of. All around the space, flowers were the star of the show also at the bar, on the tables, and even on a mobile flower cart that carried arrangements guests could take home.
A few additional details brought the event to life and made it one to remember long after the month of love has come and gone. Bon Puf created heart-shaped cotton candy for each guest and decorated them with dried flowers and candies. The bartender designed a themed drinks menu that featured delights such as “The Aviation’ cocktail in honor of the current Bachelor, Pilot Pete. Local artist Lizi Phoenix customized the pots for our ‘Desert Love’ succulent duo with hand-painted designs she drew on-the-spot.
Finally, all guests sat down to watch the latest episode of ‘The Bachelor’ together and see who would receive a rose from bachelor Pete. Blogger Sierra Furtado, dancer Brooke Hyland, and actress Teala Dunn were just a few of the gals in attendance. Keep your eyes on this blog and on our Instagram to hear when we’re hosting our next event! See you there.
