A proven brand builder and entrepreneur with deep experience in innovative media ventures and consumer products, John Tabis is Founder and Chairman of The Bouqs Company. In 2012, along with co-founder Juan Pablo Montúfar, Tabis launched the Marina del Rey, California-based company, now an industry leader in the online floral space that delivers flowers and plants fresh from eco-friendly, sustainable farms around the world to doorsteps nationwide. Prior to launching Bouqs, Tabis worked in corporate brand strategy for Disney and ShoeDazzle and advised Fortune 100 clients at Bain & Company.
Juan Pablo Montufar
Founder & Chief Floral Officer
A flower farmer turned entrepreneur, Juan Pablo Montúfar serves as Co-Founder and Chief Floral Officer of The Bouqs Company. In 2012, with founder John Tabis, Montúfar launched the Marina del Rey, California-based company, an industry leader in the online floral space that delivers flowers fresh from eco-friendly, sustainable farms around the world to doorsteps nationwide. With a true passion for flower farming, Montúfar’s mission to disrupt and improve the floral industry for both farmers and consumers alike is what originally sparked the inspiration to start the company and is what continues to drive its success.
Chief Executive Officer
With a proven track record for best-in-class customer experience, operational excellence and scaling international businesses, Alejandro Bethlen is Chief Executive Officer of The Bouqs Company. In May 2020, Bethlen joined the Marina del Rey, California-based company that delivers flowers and plants fresh from eco-friendly, sustainable farms around the world to doorsteps nationwide. Prior to The Bouqs Company, Bethlen spent eight years at Amazon where he was most recently General Manager for Amazon Flex Europe and Asia Pacific, leading across six countries with full P&L and operational responsibilities. Before Amazon, Bethlen earned his MBA at Rice University and upon graduation joined Procter & Gamble where he spent seven years in Marketing across both North America and Latin America. Chief Revenue Officer
Nadja has over 20 years of marketing and business experience across the CPG industry and the e-commerce space. Prior to joining The Bouqs Company she spent 14 years at Procter & Gamble leading various brands and businesses across Latin America and the US, and she later spent 6 and a half years at Amazon, most recently serving as the Director and General Manager for US Hardlines Private Brands. Nadja is passionate about building and scaling businesses, delighting customers, and developing people. Nadja is an engineer by training, she is a certified executive coach, the founder of her own coaching and consulting practice, and she lives in Bellevue, WA with her husband and two girls.
Chief Financial Officer
Tony Rodriquez has spent the last 25 years as a financial leader in both private and public corporations managing all aspects of finance and accounting. Currently as CFO at The Bouqs Company, he manages all aspects of Finance, Accounting, HR and Legal and Administration. Rodriquez began his career at KPMG LLP where he serviced international public and private companies in the manufacturing, retail, distribution, and technology sectors as an assurance senior manager. Rodriquez is a certified public accountant (inactive) with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from California State University, Northridge. He is also a Board member for the non-profit group Homes 4 Families, which was founded in 2008 to meet the need for affordable housing and effective, no-cost services that equip veteran families to move up the economic ladder.
