With an average of twelve hours of sunlight and mild temperatures year-round, the region’s atmosphere makes for optimal growing conditions. Also, the farm is certified by FLORVERDE, who advocates for and reinforces training, child care and family assistance initiatives, among other fair labor standards.

Farmer Maria and her 180 employees love growing flowers. They also love the rainforest. Part of their mission as a company is to actively protect the Amazon jungle. They conserve the native species that are in threat of extinction, and then grow those flowers commercially as well as put them into the bouquets they make, thus ensuring these rare flower varieties are conserved for future generations.

Gino’s farm grows the world’s best roses, and not in a New York City “World’s Best Coffee” kind of way either. These babies are perfecto! Grown on a Volcano 10,000 feet above sea level in the most sun possible, the flowers benefit from volcanic run-off of pure ice-melt water, hence their name “Volcano Roses”. Also, Gino's farm is Rainforest Alliance certified.
