Care Instructions For Violet Gladiolus

Your gladiolus will arrive in bud form which provides protection during delivery and helps increase vase life.

1. Prep Your Stems

After removing all packaging, give each stem a fresh 45 degree angled cut, about an inch, to help them rehydrate quickly.

2. Hydration Is Key

Place stems in cool water right away. Be sure to use a clean vase and try to keep any flower buds above the lip of your vase. Refresh water every other day for longer vase life.

3. Watch Them Bloom

Your gladiolus will bloom dramatically over the next couple days. Display them in a cool area, avoiding direct sunlight, and enjoy the show!

Floral Footnotes

Gladiolus are also called “sword lilies” for their sharp, striking shape—aka flowers with edge.
