Bouqs St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick’s Day is more than just an excuse to party – it’s also a great way to show off your inner DIY pro to all of your friends. Hosting a St. Paddy’s Day party at your place won’t be daunting as long as you have a few things on hand: beer, Bouqs, and fun people to celebrate with.

We’re going to share two fun and easy decorating tips you can recreate in time for your St. Patrick’s Day party. Ready to unlock your DIY prowess? Let’s go!

Treat your cheery green succulents to a party-ready home. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Succulents
  • Succulent planters
  • Acrylic paint (we chose white, gold, and emerald green)
  • Paint brushes

DIY Succulent Pots

Step 1: Paint your planters in fun St Paddy’s themes that speak to you! First, we started by painting all of the planters solid white or gold and allowed them to dry.

Step 2: Next, we layered on a variety of accents and prints. Try a combination of polka dots, shamrocks, or other designs! Allow planters to dry completely.

Step 3: Plant your succulents in their planters, and space them along your dining table next to your St. Paddy’s day centerpiece to create a festive tablescape. To jazz it up even more, we also decorated our table with gold coin confetti!

DIY Painted Mason Jar Vases

Your Bouqs want to party too! Bring some extra attention to them by painting their vases. You’ll need:

  • St. Patrick’s Day Bouqs
  • Mason jar vases
  • Latex paint (we used white, mint green, and emerald green)
  • Paint buckets
  • Gloves
  • Paper towels or newspaper

Diy Painting Pots steps

Step 1: Make sure you’re wearing your gloves! Starting with one color at a time, pour your paint into the paint bucket.

Step 2: Take a mason jar and roll the outside of the jar in the paint. This should be completed with one thin coat. Be careful not to get paint inside of the jar (remember your Bouqs will be living in there).

Step 3: Carefully lift the jar out and inspect it to make sure it is evenly coated. Lightly roll again to cover any gaps or missed spots, if needed. Let excess paint drip back into the bucket.

Step 4: Place the mason jar on paper towels or newspaper. Repeat with remaining paint colors and mason jars. Allow to dry overnight.

Step 5: When ready, fill the bottom of the jars with water and place your cute St. Patrick’s Day Bouqs inside.

Now, grab a beer and relax knowing your party decorating is done!
